My Family's Favorite Dessert

I love dessert!!! I love to make fabulous, exotic things like lava cakes and ooey gooey desserts. But...whenever I ask my family what they want for Family Home Evening treats or some other special occasion they always say..."BROWNIES!" I've gotten used to the response, and maybe I should be grateful that their favorite dessert is something I can whip up with my eyes closed. So here is our family's favorite dessert:

Fudge Brownies
1/4 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (We always use chocolate chips)

Melt butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts and chocolate chips. When the batter is smooth, add the nuts and chocolate chips. Spread in a greased 8x8 pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.


This is so easy and way better than a boxed brownie mix. I'd love to know what you think of the brownies!
